Art of Grahame Sydney, The Sydney, Grahame Sydney is considered New Zealand’s foremost realist artist, best known for his vast luminous landscapes of Central Otago in the South Island. His paintings have been presentation gifts to Nelson Mandela, and are owned by Elton John and Sam Neill. His well-known, “Rozzie at Pisa”, hangs in Te Papa Tongarewa, New Zealand’s national museum. This large-format superior quality art book is a sampling of the best of 30 years of the artist’s work. His paintings are complemented by essays from art curators Michael Findlay and Belinda Jones and a personal response from poet Brian Turner.
